PD1000 Handheld High Voltage Switchgear Partial Discharge (Ultrasonic) Tester is suitable for live partial discharge testing of high voltage switchgear and ring main units.

II. Functional Features

(1) Equipped with three sensors: built-in ultrasonic sensor, TEV sensor, and a handheld non-contact ultrasonic concentrator. The built-in sensor is used for contact measurement on the switchgear body, while the handheld non-contact ultrasonic concentrator is used for scanning busbar bridges and wall bushings.

(2) During measurement, the LCD screen displays the original discharge waveform, dB value, and three-level alarm values in yellow, green, and red, intuitive and reliable.

(3) Using dBmV as the unit, it detects the magnitude of partial discharge through transient earth voltage (TEV) and ultrasonic detection methods.

(4) When using ultrasonic measurement, if a discharge signal is present, compare horizontally for magnitude and vertically for trend; conclusions can only be drawn after two or more measurements. When using TEV measurement, if a discharge waveform appears, severe discharge can be diagnosed immediately. In summary, TEV is the primary method, supplemented by ultrasound.
