Transformer Ratio Testers Verify Whether Tap Changer Contacts Are in Good Condition
The Transformer Ratio Tester, full name Transformer Ratio and Connection Group Tester, is a specialized instrument used to measure the voltage ratio (turns ratio), connection group, tap changer position, and phase angle of power transformers.
You can think of it as the “identity verifier” of a transformer. The transformer ratio is its most core parameter, directly determining the accuracy of voltage conversion. If the ratio is incorrect or the connection group is wrong, the transformer not only cannot operate normally but may even cause serious grid accidents (such as short circuits).
