UHV/Large Transformers/Cables Require 5000V or 10000V Range
Mainly divided into two categories: Traditional hand-cranked type: Gradually being phased out, only used in extreme environments without power supply. Digital type (mainstream): Voltage levels: Common specifications include 250V, 500V, 1000V, 2500V, 5000V, 10000V. Low-voltage equipment (<500V): Select 500V or 1000V range. High-voltage equipment (such as 10kV cables): Requires 2500V or 5000V range. UHV/large transformers/cables require 5000V or 10000V range. Measurement Range: Ensure the instrument's maximum resistance range meets requirements (e.g., whether measurement up to 1TΩ is needed). Functional Requirements: Whether automatic PI/DAR calculation is needed, whether data storage/upload is required, whether strong anti-interference capability is needed (variable frequency motor testing). Environmental Adaptability: For outdoor operations, pay attention to protection rating (IP rating) and drop resistance; for flammable and explosive environments, explosion-proof models must be selected. Standard Compliance: Confirm that the instrument complies with the latest standards.
