I. Product Introduction
By testing the insulation resistance of different components in a system (transformers, switchgear, conductors, motors), faulty components can be isolated and repaired.
Using insulation testing to verify the insulation integrity of test objects against ground or between adjacent conductors is of great significance for ensuring product quality as well as personnel and equipment safety during operation.
Before powering up a system, using insulation testing to verify its integrity can improve system performance. Insulation testing can reveal manufacturing process issues and equipment defects that are generally undetectable before equipment failure occurs. In the EU, this test is mandatory even for the smallest residential systems.
